atma-lip mobile medical clinic project
Since 2018, ATMA has partnered with the Ladakh Institute of Prevention (LIP) to fund mobile medical clinics that travel village to village in some of the most remote parts of the Indian Himalayas to provide free medical checkups and diagnostic testing, treatments, health screening and education, maternal and child care and vital medical research. Many villages in Ladakh are so remote that accessing medical care is nearly impossible. The health camps aim to bridge that gap and provide the only healthcare that many of these communities will have access to.
This project is implemented in partnership with the Ladakh Institute of Prevention, headed by retired prominent Ladakhi physician, Dr. T. Norboo. A detailed proposal can be downloaded by clicking the adjacent link. We are currently fundraising for the Summer 2024 mobile medical camps. Our goal is to raise $10,000 CDN which will enable us to run multiple camps and provide comprehensive care to the people of Ladakh. If you are in a position to donate, please click here. Any amount helps and 100% of what you donate goes towards the camps! |
