Zanskar Medical Camp FUNDRAISER 2022

This is Dr. Tsering Norboo. He's one of the most respected physician-scientists in Ladakh. He's almost 80 years old and despite officially retiring from clinical practice many years ago he still operates a free clinic for people who otherwise couldn't afford medical care. He also conducts mobile health clinics in some of the most remote parts of Ladakh to provide care for those that can't make it to the main city. He's a kind, compassionate and generally incredible person who I've gotten to know well over the years. Our non profit, ATMA, has been proud to work closely with his organization, the Ladakh Institute of Prevention (LIP), to fund these mobile clinics and we'll be doing so again.

From July 15 - 25th, 2022 we will be working in conjunction with the LIP to conduct a 10 day medical camp in the Zanskar Valley, one of the most remote regions of Ladakh. We're hoping to raise 500,000 rupees ($8000 CDN) to provide free, comprehensive medical care to the people of Zanskar. If you are in a position to donate, even a small amount, it would go a long way. ATMA is a small grassroots nonprofit that operates on incredibly low overhead costs that are covered entirely by the board. This means 100% of what you donate goes directly to where it ought to - to people most in need.
